Etete a Washingtonian Top 100 Restaurant

Etete, an Ethiopian Restaurant in Washington’s ‘Little Ethiopia’ has been named as one of the top 100 very best restaurants in DC metro area. It is the only Ethiopian restaurant to be selected among the 100 very best published in the current edition of Washingtonian Magazine.

The survey ranks the restaurant as number 79 with a two star.

Etete is a family-run operation which remains the best spot to dig into the complex spice-laden stews called wat, that form the backbone of the cuisine, writes the Washingtonian.

Sambusa, Yebeg Wat and Doro Wat are recommended as best dish at Etete by Washingtonian magazine.

Tiwaltengus Shenegelgn who runs the kitchen is a star in the community and no wonder the cooking is the most refined with clear flavour, adds the magazine.

Washington DC has several dozen Ethiopian restaurants and many travel guides to the nation’s capital recommend a visit to Ethiopian restaurant as one of the ‘to do’ things when in DC.
