African leaders and aviation experts will today converge in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to proffer solutions to the dwindling fortune of the industry.

The two-day summit, which will have in attendance the Ethiopian President, Girma Wolde-Giorgis, will look at ways the continent can tap into the changes in the global industry, particularly, the liberalisation of air transport, tackling infrastructure decay and the economic meltdown, which has put many airlines on the edge.

The conference will also focus on meeting up with the trends in the global aviation industry and how to reposition the sector in Africa.

Among those expected to deliver papers are the Minister of Aviation, Babatunde Omotoba; his counterparts from Ethiopia, Ghana, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya.
